Charcoal

This past weekend I finally mustered up enough courage to paint a charcoal accent wall in our cabin (inspiration came from the photos above).
I was a tad worried that the space would end up looking like the bat cave or a 17-year old boy's bedroom (minus the black light), however it ended up looking exactly how I hoped - rustic, modern, and interesting.
I used Martha Stewart paint in Francesca.

Packing for France (pop back)
Yes, it is possible to squeeze 10-days worth of outfits into a tiny carry-on - as long as you put a little thought and planning into the exercise.
A few tips: (1) plan on wearing each item you pack more than once (at the very least, re-wear the bottoms), (2) wear your bulkiest items on the plane, (3) stick with a color scheme so you can easily mix and match, (4) pack a few items that can pull double duty depending on accessories (e.g. a dress that works on the beach, and at night).
My current packing list for an upcoming trip to France + a few outfit ideas:
